I have the worse crick in my neck. Usually it hurts when I turn, today it hurts when it's still. Hurts to touch it. Dang you late nite endless editing sessions and heavy camera slung across my body directly on my neck. UG! Can't even comb my hair. Messy look again today lol I have a full day of more editing, cleaning and shooting to do today. No excuses. Must press on I need to let go of my anger and start to do good with my hands and lips. I'll make you something you've never seen before.
I want to share with you this book written by Joanne Marie Billingsley. A brilliant AMAZING science teacher that I taught with. She taught me soo much about being a good teacher. She was one of my greatest mentors among other wonderful teachers in my life. I wholeheartedly believe in her book and its teachings. Please take a moment to read the description. I am sooo proud to know her! Her book is sold on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Grow-Your-Brain-Joanne-Billingsley/dp/1608441148 Aim to Grow Your Brain: A Guide for Teachers, Parents, and Students Do you know that student perceptions about intelligence profoundly influence school performance? When students learn, that intelligence is expandable - that the brain responds dramatically to effort, reflection, and practice - they begin to embrace new challenges, and overcome fear of failure. The message "smart is something you get, not just something you are," is a powerful one. It offers life-changing hope for growing a better brain through personal effort. Discover neuroscience lessons that... Inspire students to embrace academic challenges, and believe in their potential for intellectual growth. Motivate teachers to create an enriched, challenging academic environment, and discover its impact on learning. Provide a message of hope: "If you embrace challenges, give your best effort, and practice - you will grow in intelligence. We all have the potential to grow a better brain". Deliver this message of hope... and watch lives change. Bullies grow up to be adult bullies. I will take the advice I give my girls and stay away from people who only find the negativity in every situation. People who only see what they want, spin it and showcase the bad to make themselves look better. I do NOT give you permission to hurt me with your ugliness. I see right through you. Move on. |
