Cat’s season that wouldn’t end ended on Monday. They finished 60-10 and 27th in the nation. Come to think there are thousands of club teams that’s pretty dang good. If you would if asked me this team would go to Nationals seven months ago. No way. The Little Team that did. Those girls couldn’t pepper pregame without chaos ensuing. We are so hard on Cat. We expect 100% effort. Live and work up to your full potential. Coach Maggie finally shushed me twice this weekend during a game. I adore her. She used to coach Edison. She’s been coaching club for 20 years. I think we hit the jackpot with her. My niece Matlowe just made the Xtreme team. A few girls from the 12s who are our age are dropping to our team next year. We will be traveling the entire season. Tryouts next Friday. It’s exciting to see how far my girl can go! Just think...
Monday we were in Canada! After four days in broken window Detroit we drove to Canada. It was so beautiful and green. I was jealous of all the flowers. Better than San Francisco. Wineries everywhere. We drove to a small beach front town off Lake Erie. The kids loved the beach but we had to check into our hotel, so left soon. Both girls had a very hard time with the remaining sand. We weren’t prepared for a beach trip. Spontaneous move. I am so glad we did it bc we got to see the amazing rural side. The houses were perfect! Small unique landscaped. Green fields and blooming flowers! I loved it. We we stayed in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It was a tourist town with tourist tax. IHOP breakfast was $115 for the four of us!! I about lost my mind. I threw the finger at the four other IHOPS in the area. Ihop is gangsta in Canada. The falls were pretty amazing. The boat ride was all mist sprayed in your face so you can’t really see anything. I liked the Skylon Tower. I rank it just below Eiffel Tower. The Tower of America which is taller! just saying In Niagara, they had a Vegas strip JUST FOR KIDS! Fireworks and icecream. Lots of walking up and down hills. It was HOT 102 degrees HEAT WAVE claiming elderly lives. We went with another teammate family. Dustin was born in the latte 80’s while Jen was born in the 90’s. JS lol They were great travel buddies!! Glad we did it together. It was cool taking my girls out of the country. We had a memorable time. Overall Canada was Candada. Nice to look at but pretty eh.
